Females coming soon...

Name: Tatara
Nicknames: Mountain Cat, Guard of the Eastern Garden, Demon Cat
Diet: Mainly consists of Vegetation, but they'd love meat if you give them some.
Regions: Mainly common in the eastern Terrafim, can be found wandering near Nexra territory.
Element: Usually Earth. Dark is a rare occasion
Lifespan: A healthy Tatara Male lives between 25 and 30 years
Height: Usually around 2.5 feet
Place in a Family: Protector, Caretaker
Description: Tataras are often found wandering through the Gardens of Terrafim because of their flower-loving nature. They usually tend to stay in their packs unless choose to accompany someone. Although Tataras are very defensive, they never attack anyone first unless enraged. If one were to approach a person, it’s simply out of curiosity and playfulness.
As cubs, Tataras are very mischievous. They have a tendency to steal small items, food, and even clothes. The often attempt to play with a person’s tail or limb as if they were a toy (chase and pounce)

Males: They are less defensive than females unless they feel that the cubs nearby are in danger. Generally, male Tataras do not care whether a cub is his own, he will play and care for the cubs as if it’s own. This causes several pack issues if a cub can’t be shared by a biological pack and the “friend” pack.
Overall, Male Tataras are much more relaxes and more suitable for families with small children, but forcing a Tatara into a house will end badly for everyone.

Coloration of a Tatara changes as it grows. A male cub is born with dark purple fur and as he grows, the fur that is seen is a cream color as shown in the picture. This is because Tataras have layers of fur with different colors. Males have the lowers layer of fur colored in purple while the top layer is cream. The layers grow over the bottom layer as a Tatara develops.
